Get to know the new Blackboard Learning Management System before term begins!

The University of Windsor is in the process of transitioning from our old learning management system, CLEW, to Blackboard. Some courses are already using Blackboard to provide students with course materials, to engage them with its interactive tools, and to manage their grades.  Starting Fall 2015, a number of Faculties, including Nursing, Law, Human Kinetics, Education, and Business will be completely migrated to the new system, and by Winter 2016, the whole campus will be using Blackboard.  Discover the power of Blackboard and how to navigate this new tool.

An online course is already available for you directly through the Blackboard site.  Returning GAs and TAs can simply log into Blackboard at https://blackboard.uwindsor.ca, and click their Courses tab to find the “Introduction to Blackboard: TAs/GAs” course.  This course introduces Blackboard from the instructor’s perspective. Additionally, all registered students at UWindsor, will have access to the “Student Orientation: All” online course, (also visible from the Courses tab), to help out from the student’s perspective.

If you don’t see one or both of these courses, please email lmsadmin@uwindsor.ca, and provide your Uwin ID and request to be added to the missing course(s).

Face-to-face workshops will be available to GAs and TAs starting in August.  Please register at http://cleo.uwindsor.ca/workshops/80/, and select the “Do You Need Blackboard for What You’ll Do? An Introduction for TAs & GAs” workshop.
