What’s New At The CTL

Chances are, if you know the GATA Network, you know the Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) – UWindsor’s group of teaching and learning specialists. Just like us, they’re committed to providing opportunities for developing and experienced teachers to gain new tools that help them in their teaching. Here’s a look at what’s coming up at the CTL in the next few months, including a workshop from friend of the Network, Claire Lamonica:

As instructors, we are aware of the benefits of providing learners with formative feedback, but we may not have considered the benefits of receiving formative feedback on our own teaching.

Join us, Friday, December 11 at 12:00pm for a “lunch and learn” session with uWindsor’s Visiting Fellow in Educational Development, Claire Lamonica (Illinois State University).  Participants will receive an overview of several options for collecting formative, midway feedback on their teaching.  A light lunch will be provided.

Claire is the Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology at Illinois State University and has taught English/language arts from ninth grade through graduate school, specializing in the teaching of writing and the preparation of writing teachers.  Claire’s full biography can be found at: http://www1.uwindsor.ca/ctl/Lamonica.
