CALL for VOLUNTEERS!

Will you be staying in Windsor for Reading Week?

We have a wonderful opportunity for you.  We are looking for volunteers for a national conference, with a focus on helping to improve teaching and learning in post-secondary education.

The Educational Developers Caucus national conference will be hosted by St. Clair College and the University of Windsor on February 16-18, 2016.   This conference brings together educational developers from across Canada and other parts of the globe to discuss teaching and learning in post-secondary education.  The majority of the conference will take place downtown, at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts (so you will need to be able to travel downtown).

We are looking for volunteers to be part of our team hosting this conference.  There are many positions available for you- room hosts, registration assistants, way finders, signage managers, food and refreshment assistants, and social media.  You can volunteer in blocks of 3 hours or more.  Volunteer training takes place on either February 3 or February 5, 2016. To register as a conference volunteer go to http://fluidsurveys.com/surveys/khansen/edc-volunteer-registration/

At this site you will indicate your preferences for days/times and positions and training time.  We recognize that you will be giving of your time and energy, and it will be worth it!  The conference committee will provide you with a letter recognizing your volunteer commitment for your professional portfolio.  This type of volunteering is a great resume builder, and you will gain valuable experience.

Consider volunteering for this amazing opportunity to meet new people and expand your knowledge of public relations, event planning and management.  Go the link above to register- and get a few friends to do so as well!
