With the assignments function in Blackboard Learn, you can manage student work either individually or for one or more previously created groups within your site. Further, you can utilise Blackboard’s Portfolio option when creating an assignment to create artefacts for student coursework to be able to add to their Blackboard Portfolio. Create an assignment from any Content Area, which can contain further organizational structures like learning modules, lesson plans, and folders that assignments can be placed within.
When you create an assignment, a corresponding Grade Center column is created automatically. From the Grade Center or Needs Grading page, you can see who has submitted their work and begin grading. Students access their grades from their My Grades pages or the assignment’s Review Submission History page.
The assignment function offers students and instructors, a secure location for uploading documents for grading or feedback. With multiple options available, including – activating a SafeAssign plagiarism detection option, inline grading with annotation, integrated rubrics for feedback, offers multiple opportunities to upload, or group assignment for more than one members the assignments function is a versatile pedagogical tool for managing student work and providing rich feedback.
