As funding reform in Ontario places greater emphasis on the student experience, undergraduate research is assuming a more prominent role. The University of Windsor has already been recognized as offering a strong set of undergraduate research opportunities. This workshop is designed build on that strength. It will address models and best practices of undergraduate research and rewards, challenges of doing undergraduate research, and how to best synergize undergraduate research efforts within a department. Individuals would be encouraged to attend with a departmental team, and time in the workshop will be devoted to conversation among colleagues for how to integrate undergraduate research into the departmental culture.
