Bartosz Slak

Bartosz Slak successfully defended his MSc in Physics at the University of Windsor in 2013 and has continued his research involving ultrasound, signal processing and pattern recognition to develop novel medical devices. In 2016, he became a PhD student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Windsor, and received Mitacs funding to work at the University College London (UK). He is also a recipient of the Ontario Graduate Scholarship and the Fredrick Atkins Graduate Award. Currently, he is a part of the Medical Innovation Fellowship team at Western University. The fellowship program -- the first-of-its-kind in Canada – was established in partnership with the University of Minnesota where highly talented young scientists, engineers and clinicians are trained to find needs and create novel solutions in the medical field. Bart’s dedication and passion has already resulted in an issued patent, clinical prototypes, and numerous peer-reviewed publications and conference proceedings.
