Julie Timmermans
Julie Timmermans is an Instructional Developer at the University of Waterloo’s Centre for Teaching Excellence. She supports faculty and staff with designing, implementing, and disseminating results from pedagogical research projects and manages the Learning Innovation and Teaching Enhancement (LITE) Grants program. She also chairs the institution-wide teaching and learning conference. Recently, she has done educational development consulting work in both France and Japan, gaining a cross-cultural perspective of teaching development. Her research interests explore the dynamic intersections between threshold concepts, the development of epistemic beliefs, and educational development.
