Joyceln Lorito
Joyceln Lorito is an Accessibility Advisor and Learning Strategist in Student Accessibility Services. She also co-created and is currently the Co-Chair of the UWinPRIDE committee on campus through the Office of Student Experience. Joyceln started her career in the Special Education classroom and then moved to Residence Life at different institutions across Ontario. She is pursuing a Master of Education degree where she will focus on transitions for students coming from grade 12 to post-secondary. As a person that students contact for support for their disabilities, she sees the need for a better process so that all students can be successful in their post-secondary journey. She is passionate about queer activism and being a voice for folks with disabilities. Joyceln would like to work toward creating an environment of empowerment and resilience for all students to feel that they belong and that they can have amazing student experiences.
