Isabelle Hinch

Isabelle is a doctorate student in the Porter Lab. She studies normal mammary development and periods of increased breast cancer risk for young women. Particularly, how a unique cell cycle regulator plays a role in the development of postpartum breast cancer. Isabelle has a background in both the liberal arts and sciences, receiving her undergraduate degree at the University of Windsor in Interdisciplinary Studies with a double major in Greek and Roman Studies and Biology. These mixed background supports Isabelle in pursuing projects aiming on expanding science communication and education such as student-faculty partnerships, graduate course development and research outreach.
