Dora Cavallo-Medved, Ph.D. is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Biological Sciences, where she teaches Introductory Biology for Science majors. She also mentors undergraduate students as well as graduate and teaching assistants. She has been awarded several pedagogical grants to work with undergraduate students in developing novel, investigative teaching labs. Her work has shown that involving undergraduate students in curriculum and program development enriches their undergraduate experience. She also founded the UWindsor Science Academy Program, authored an introductory biology textbook, and is a recipient of the Roger Thibert Teaching Excellence Award in Science.
