GATAcademy 2012 Schedule

On August 28, 2012, in Announcements, GATAcademy, UWindsor, Workshops/Courses, by Candace Nast

A handy dandy schedule overview is now available for next week’s GATAcademy to be held on September 5, 2012. Check out the timetable, workshop titles, and facilitators and be sure to share with your colleagues, faculty, and advisors. Why not make a plan to attend as a group? Visit the registration page to sign up and request a free lunch.

The day’s schedule is available attached to this message, as well as being in the GATAcademy 2012 folder in the Resource section of CLEW. As more GATAcademy handouts become available, I’ll be adding those to the resource folder as well. (Of course you’re always welcome to check out last year’s or any other resources in the CLEW site). Not yet on the GATA Network CLEW site yet? No problem — just email gata@uwindsor.ca and request to be added.

Any questions? Contact gata@uwindsor.ca.

Zotero is software. It’s free, open-source, easy to use and it’s designed to help you collect, organize, cite and share your research sources. Zotero was developed by scholars for scholars and works especially well for those in the Humanities and Social Sciences. Zotero wants to be the iTunes of your research collection. This session will demonstrate what Zotero is capable of which includes being able to download a citation with a single click and the ability to drop and drag formatted citations right into a body of work. We will place Zotero in the spectrum of other citation management tools and other “apps for academics.”
